I Can’t Login to My Account, Help!
If you’re having trouble getting into your account, fear not – let’s take a look at the common solutions for login issues.
Troubleshooting Step #1
First and foremost let me state the obvious. Make sure your login details are correct. We’ve all been there, where we try and login and there’s an extra letter or a space that snuck in while we were typing. So check this first.
Troubleshooting Step #2
Two Factor Authentication (TFA) is an optional login feature for extra security. By default this is NOT enabled. If you haven’t turned this on, you don’t need to put anything in the ‘Google Authenticator Code’ field – you can leave it blank. If you have enabled two factor authentication for your account, make sure you’re using the Google Authenticator app. If you are using it and you’re still experiencing issues with the authentication codes throwing error messages, try this: Time Correction Sync Sometimes the authentication codes generated by the app can become out of sync. So this is likely the cause if you’re getting errors relating to the code being wrong. To perform a manual sync follow these steps:
- Open the Google Authenticator app
- Tap on the ‘More’ menu (three dots)
- Select ‘Settings’ then ‘Time correction for codes’
- Tap ‘Sync now’
Once this is done, refresh your browser and try logging in again.
Still can’t get in?
If you’ve tried all of these options and you still cannot login, it’s time for some intervention. Send me a message using the form and I’ll help you get back into your account, pronto!
